PIKPOK PLAYTESTING

Want to get paid for sharing your thoughts on video games?

PikPok needs your help in making our games as fun as possible! Playtesters come into our office to share opinions and provide feedback to help us improve our games. If this sounds interesting to you, please sign up!

What is playtesting?

Playtesting is an opportunity for people to come into our studio and to provide feedback and opinions on our games.

When do playtests happen?

Playtests happen Monday-Friday 10:00am- 6:00pm.

How long do playtesting sessions last for?

Typically they run for 1 hour, but occasionally we’ll have some that are slightly shorter or longer. We’ll let you know the length of the test when we email you!

Where are playtests held?

Playtests are held at our studio on Willis Street in the Wellington CBD. The exact location will be sent to you once you book in a session.

What kind of person are we looking for?

We are looking for players of all ages, genders, experiences, backgrounds, and abilities. You don’t need to be a pro-gamer, or even a regular gamer – we need people from all backgrounds to help us test all kinds of games.

Can children participate?

Yes. If you’re aged under 16, a parent or legal guardian will need to sign up on the child’s behalf to receive information and apply to playtests. If invited to a playtest, a parent or legal guardian will need to accompany the child and remain in the building for the duration of the session. Please make us aware of any specific needs your child has when applying so we can be prepared to make their session as comfortable and enjoyable as we can.

What should I expect after I sign up?

If there’s a playtest that you’re eligible for, you will receive an email from us. Make sure to look out in your inbox in case we email you!

Is the studio wheelchair accessible?

Yes, both entrances to the building and studio are wheelchair accessible.

Will I get paid?

Yes! We’ll reimburse you for your time with a Prezzy Card voucher. The amount will depend on the length of the test.

Will I need to sign anything?

Participants must sign a Non Disclosure Agreement to enter the studio, as well agreeing not to disclose the game in development. Signing a Consent Form is required for consenting to participate in the playtest.
