What do you actually do?

I am a programmer at the mighty PikPok Interactive! I develop features that you see in Into the Dead and of course, I fix any bug that you guys reports to us!

What does an average day involve for you?

Depending on the days, some days I fix bugs, some days I implement features, and some days I work on the back end stuff that makes everyone else’s role easier. The most recent big feature that I have worked on is the Daily Challenge system for Into the Dead.

How did you end up at PikPok?

Interesting story, I used to live in Auckland when my boyfriend was constantly reminding me of his awesome job as a programmer at PikPok, so I decided to apply. A couple of month later, I am in Wellington working for the same awesome company.

Most rewarding aspect of your role?

It’s when I see the reviews of players telling us how much they love our games. It’s also great working with so many talented people, also we hang out on Friday nights!

What do you do for fun?

I play games, because I am a game developer! …I always wanted to say that line, but really, I play a lot of games! The most recent game that I played is Dragon Age: Inquisition. I also love food, especially chocolate! I occasionally make cupcakes and brownies at home, and I have attended the annual Chocolate Buffet every year for three years straight.
